Answered: google redirects to google.de when connected to Zurich

Greetings,

Could someone please help me understand if something can be done about google detecting me been in Germany when connected to Zurich?
For few other servers there seem to be no problem:
When I connect to Amsterdam, I am redirected to www.google.nl.
Brisbane – www.google.com.au.
TelAviv – www.google.co.il

I'm afraid there is nothing much you can do except choosing another server. Google (and thus Youtube for that matter) decide what location to put what server in and it is not only decided by geolocation. Google notices how many users are accessing "google.de" from this IP, with enough requests the server location will just be set to germany.
