Not a bug: Android client no longer working ... "Server is unreachable"

Android PP has worked forever, but no longer. Now I just get "Server is unreachable". This is on two different devices, a Huawei P20 Pro and an Amazon Fire TV stick. Tried every server on the list, no joy. The Windows client works fine, so I know it's not an account problem, and yes I triple checked the username and password.
